To receive physical therapy, most states, including Pennsylvania, no longer require a prescription from your physician. This new law, known as DIRECT ACCESS, allows you to see a Direct Access certified physical therapist immediately, so that you can get the out-patient physical therapy care you need. Most health insurances cover physical therapy obtained by using Direct Access.
It has been found the sooner an injury is treated, the quicker the recovery. We have at least one Direct Access certified therapist in each of our locations to evaluate your condition,
assess your physical therapy needs and begin the much needed treatment.
Our physical therapists are well-qualified, both through formal education and clinical training, to evaluate a patient's condition, assess his or her physical therapy needs and, if appropriate, safely and effectively treat the patient.
Our physical therapists can recognize when patients demonstrate conditions, signs and/or symptoms, that should be evaluated by other health care professionals
before therapy is instituted. Physical Therapists recognize when it is appropriate to refer patients to these other health care professionals for consultation.
We work closely with your physician and other health care providers to ensure you are receiving the most appropriate treatment to fit your individual needs.
The professional training and expertise that physical therapists provide has been recognized by Pennsylvania, 45 other states as well as the District of Columbia.
