MEET THE STAFF
Bernard J. Povanda, PT, COMT
President / CEO
Bernie is the owner and founder of Physical Therapy Associates of NEPA. He has over 30 years experience in the outpatient setting, providing high-quality care using evidence-based practices. Bernie received a Bachelor of Science from East Stroudsburg University. He received both a Bachelor of Science degree as well as a certificate of Physical Therapy from the University of Miami in Coral Gables, FL.
In August 2013 Bernie successfully completed the certification of Orthopedic Manual Therapy, through Maitland.
He was recently selected for a Fellowship with the MAPS Orthopedic Manual Therapy Program which is recognized worldwide as demonstrating the highest level of clinical excellence with its innovative and state-of-the-art training. The MAPS faculty boasts a wide range of accomplished instructors including 10 PhDs/DPTs. MAPS has been a leading provider of clinical education for rehabilitation professionals since 1985 and has awarded over 600 physical therapists with their Certification in Orthopedic Manual Therapy (COMT). Bernie earned his “MAPS” certification and was one of the first candidates to be selected for the Fellowship.
Bernie is also a member of the American Physical Therapy Association (APTA), as well as the Private Practice Section of the APTA, Pennsylvania Physical Therapy Association and the American Academy of Orthopaedic Manual Physical Therapists (AAOMPT).
Bernie treats patients in the Old Forge, Hamlin and Peckville offices.
Renee Lenceski, DPT
Renee received a Bachelor of Science degree from East Stroudsburg University and a Doctor of Physical Therapy degree from Temple University in Philadelphia, PA.
She is a member of the American Physical Therapy Association and currently pursuing certification in the Maitland approach.
Renee primarily treats patients in the Old Forge office.
James Richards, MPT
Jay received a Bachelor of Science degree from Wilkes University and received both a Bachelor of Science and a Master of Physical Therapy degree from the University of the Sciences in Philadelphia, PA.
Jay has completed the Back to Golf program and currently offers this program to interested individuals.
Jay primarily treats patients in the Old Forge office.

Caitlin Mackrell, PTA, LAT, ATC
Caitlin graduated from Marywood University with her Bachelor of Science Degree in Athletic Training. She is a licensed Athletic Trainer as well as Certified Athletic Trainer in the state of Pennsylvania. She is currently the certified athletic trainer for the Old Forge School District. Caitlin also graduated from Johnson College where she obtained her Associates of Science Degree as a Physical Therapist Assistant. Because of her educational background, Caitlin has spent many years working with orthopedic injuries, as well as the general athletic population. She currently practices as a Physical Therapist Assistant in our Hamlin office.
Caitlin is an active member of the American Physical Therapy Association, National Athletic Trainers' Association, Eastern Athletic Trainers' Association and the Pennsylvania Athletic Trainers' Association.
Jarad Bonda, LAT, ATC
Jarad is currently the athletic trainer at Riverside High School and works out of the Old Forge and Hamlin offices. He is a 2000 graduate of Mid Valley High School and a graduated from Marywood University with a Bachelor's of Science degree in Athletic Training.
Jarad is K-Laser certified and is a member of the National Athletic Trainers' Association, the Eastern Athletic Trainers' Association and the Pennsylvania Athletic Trainers' Society.
Meghan Conway, LAT, ATC
Meghan obtained her Bachelor of Science in Athletic Training from Lock Haven University of Pennsylvania in 2017 and is a 2013 graduate from Scranton High School. Meghan is currently working for the Old Forge School District as a certified and licensed athletic trainer for the state of Pennsylvania. She works out of the main office in Old Forge.
Meghan is an active member of the National Athletic Trainers' Association, Eastern Athletic Trainers' Association, and the Pennsylvania Athletic Trainers' Association.
Christopher N. Duff, ATC
Christopher obtained his Bachelor Degree from Lock Haven University in 2016.
Following that, Chris completed a graduate assistant position at Bellefonte High School working as the assistant athletic trainer where he began working on his masters in sport and exercise psychology through Lock Haven University, as well. He is looking forward to completing his masters this spring.
Chris is currently working for the Valley View School District as a certified and licensed athletic trainer for the state of Pennsylvania. He is a member of the National Athletic Trainers' Association, Eastern Athletic Trainers' Association, and the Pennsylvania Athletic Trainers' Association.
Director of Billing and Operations
Will is the Director of Billing and Operations responsible for the planning, organizing and executing day to day operations of the claims processing, cash collections and payment functions for our multiple clinics.
Will is a graduate of East Stroudsburg University with a B.S. Degree in Movement Studies and Exercise Science. He served as the Valley View School District Athletic Trainer for 15 years.
